PopTarts!

This is my attempt at PopTarts. I was watching a cooking video and I saw a
PopTart recipe that looked good but not great. So I thought why not try to make one better.
But I also did not make classic PopTarts but still close. An other thing to mention is that this
is baked! And is delicious.

Ingredients:
Store bought pie crust.
Filling.
Icing sugar (confectioners sugar)
Milk.
An egg heavily beaten.

Preheat your oven to 450˚F.
Lightly flour your work surface.

Thin the pie crust with a rolling pin and slice into wide strips.
Roll and re-roll until you have four strips.

Make an egg wash using 2 TBSP of water and the beaten egg.

Now brush your pie crust strips with egg wash on one side.
and add your filling. My favorite filling was marmalade.

Fold over the pie crust and press the edges to seal.
If you want you can trim the edges.

Brush the tops with the egg wash and poke a few holes so steam can escape.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

Make your glaze by taking icing sugar and a splash of milk or cream
and mixing it until there is no lumps. You can add cocoa powder, extracts or jams to it
it will still work.

Marmalade.

Birthday Cake.

Mexican Hot Chocolate.

Marmalade.

Ask in the comments if you want to know how to make these fillings.
Enjoy!

    1. Sorry for the wait I just saw your comment. The recipe is:
      1 TBSP flour.
      1 TBSP brown sugar.
      1 TBSP cocoa powder
      1 TBSP cold butter
      1/4 tsp instant coffee powder
      1/4 tsp cinnamon
Just mix a all the ingredients together with your fingers and it should make a doughy kind of mixture.
